  5. How to play

  7. Move the character with arrow keys and dive deeper into the cave.  You will die if you fall all the way to the bottom or run out of the "life."  "Life" is displayed on the upper left corner of the screen.  "Life" decreases when you touch the pillards, but you can recover the "life" guage by landing on the normal floor.  The names of top 5 shafters are recorded.

  11. From "Difficulty" menu, you can select "Easy," "Normal," or "Hard."  Also, you can choose whether or not certain types of floor would appear (such as "Conveyer Belt") in the game.

  15. Please do not run other applications in the background.  Applications such as SimpleText and Lancher have been found to have some problems with NS-SHAFT.  If you experience other difficulties, please notify me at the address below.

This software is a shareware.  If you like using it, please register your software by sending me the shareware fee of US$10.  As soon as we receive the shareware fee, we will send you your registration number.  Click the "Registerâ•”" button in the start up window and input name and the number.
